Levi S. Wild dies from injuries in hit and run motor accident

Levi S. Wild, 82, beloved Butte pioneer and veteran telegraph operator, died at Murray hospital from injuries suffered when he was struck by a hit and run motorist on the morning of March 18. He remained unconscious from Tuesday afternoon until his death yesterday. His son Edgar Wild is mentioned in the notice.

Bank Bandits Seek Help After Lamar Robbery Shootout

Four gunmen who robbed the Lamar bank and killed its president and cashier stopped at a Trinidad drug store seeking aid for a wounded accomplice. A 1,000 man posse hunted them as reports said $195,000 in securities and $7,000 in cash were taken.

Anaconda Student Wins State College Speaking Contest

Butte to Install Dial Telephone System Next Year

Butte Telephone Exchange plans a $2,000,000 Montana upgrade to switch from manual to dial service by end of 1929. Alex Remneus, local manager, announced the change, noting substantial work and cost but continued employment for some operators.
