Geologist reports favorable Roundup field prospects
May 29 roundup notes geologist John Hoff spent weeks examining several structures in the Roundup field with interest from California capitalists. He finds a large anticline from the Snowy mountains through Fengus County to Garfield County, about five miles wide and trending north northeast. Smaller anticlines along folds could yield more oil as development begins, with sands indicating potential leakage. Hoff, representing E J Doneny interests, says Roundup is an ideal field and may enter a new development era.
