Catherine Nolan, a four month old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Peter Nolan of 336 West Virginia street, died at St James hospital after scalding from hot bath water. The child toppled into a bowl of nearly boiling water when the mother drew cold water, was rushed to hospital, lingered about 30 hours, and died Sunday evening. Coroner’s office notified. no inquest planned. Funeral held this afternoon from the home to Catholic cemetery.

In Philadelphia May 21 the estate contest of William Weightman a chemist and manufacturer went to the orphan's court. Principal parties include Mrs Jones-Wisler and Mrs Anna Weightman-Walker with Weightman-Walker claiming sole heir. The case alleges undue influence over the testator and a possibly unsound mind when the will was executed. A codicil providing for Weightman’s grandchildren is said to have been destroyed.
