West May Expect Tourist Increase on Rene Trail
West May expects a tourism surge as the Rene trail bureau in Butte plans full operation by June. H. C. Cooley, general manager of the Rene Trail Association, predicts about 15 000 auto travelers to Montana this season, roughly double last year’s 9 000, due to rising road popularity and more owners. Cooley and Radion Ballbronger confirm enhanced trail marking crews and coordinated efforts to prep the route for heavier traffic.
