Undine’s Isle Tale of Love and Fate in Ringstetten
A long classic prose piece recounts the Undine legend set in Ringstetten with Huldbrand von Tingstetten and Bertalda. Undine, a water dwelling spirit, marries the human knight, faces familial scheming and deceit, and ultimately sacrifices herself as the fountain claims him. Undine’s tale blends romance, duty, and tragedy in a nineteenth century style.
