Jury rules inquest over man found dead in coke car
Coroner's jury concluded the death in the coke car was not self-inflicted after seeing $1.05 in the victim's pocket and viewing the body. The inquest last evening weighed evidence before reaching its verdict.
Unknown man found dead in box car with unknown killer
An inquest at Sherman's undertaking rooms heard Emil Noese and Charles Bumpus describe a box car loaded with coke where a dead, decomposed Swede about 25 lay. A bullet hole near the nipple indicated homicide, not self-inflicted, with six cartridges missing from a 32 caliber Smith & Wesson box. The jury ruled death at hands of persons unknown.
