Beef cattle and sheep thrive as Beaverhead stock market booms

In Dillon Montana May 7 a Special Correspondent reports cattle wintered well leaving strong spring prospects with ranges green and hay plentiful. Prices for beef cattle to Omaha expected above 60 per head from Big Hole and Horse Prairie consignments. Sheep and wool show favorable turnout with lambing near 100 percent and wool quality high. Horse trade also robust with 8 to 12 per head horse prices and over 1,200 head shipped recently from Horse Prairie potentially depleting county stock for roundup needs.
