Ravalli residents urge Skalkaho highway bond issue
Judge George B. Winston returned from Hamilton where a district court session ended and Ravalli county residents prepared to launch a $100,000 bond issue to fund part of the Skalkaho road. The project aims to bring the Bitter Root valley closer to Butte and Anaconda, lowering transport costs for local markets. The National Forest Service approves the plan, which has also been filed with the State highway commission though no action has been taken.

Murphy who died when struck by a Milwaukee locomotive at Rocker Was held at the home of his father in law A M Brooks 108 Spruce street with a requiem high mass at St Pauls church.
