Bond issue funds sought to finish Deer Lodge road contract
Deer Lodge county will pay about 5000 more per mile for the hard surface road than Silver Bow county’s bid from Medin & Co. The total bond issue is 250000 with Media agreeing to take par bonds covering construction cost of 208518.05. About 41500 in bonds remain to be disposed of, and local interest is sought to purchase them to push the project forward.

Funeral of Mrs Allan Pioneer Woman Today
Funeral services for Mrs Josephine Allan pioneer of Montana will be held at 3 oclock this afternoon at 927 South Wyoming street conducted by Rev J R Russel. Burial will be in Mount Moriah Newell plot. She was born in 1841 in New York and died at her sister’s home. She traveled to Montana in 1864 and witnessed vigilante days in Last Chance country. She later lived in Helena Butte and Corvallis Washington. She is survived by two sons a Michigan brother and sister Mrs Newell.
