Attempted suicide by Ellis in jail at Twin Bridges

A Ely Nev daily reports Al Bills, a former Twin Bridges resident, attempted to kill a deputy while jailed for drunkenness. Ellis, intoxicated and delirious, resisted, strangling the officer and later tried to cut his throat with a pocket key. A second inmate helped subdue him as workmen prepared jail alterations. He soaked in his actions, later bizarrely attempting hanging with a handkerchief, before officers restored him.

Cardwell Guilty In Federal Enclosure Case At Musselshell

A suit by James Murphy against Dr J R E Sievers for alleged malpractice was dismissed on a non-suit motion after Murphy admitted breaking a contract not to sue. The court ruled Murphy violated his obligation by filing the action, thus baring further proceedings despite partial performance by the doctor.
