Charles Closterman, a veteran prospector and Civil War veteran, died at St. Ann's hospital at 79. A native of Ohio, he lived in Anaconda and vicinity, once tunneling in Clear Creek and developing Sheep Gulch prospect near the courthouse. Survived by two sons, one a Stanford student. funeral plans not yet made.
