New guards Ladie and E Renouard emerged, joining veterans McAuliffe Mueller and Wilson. The squad loses four seniors in June, with Sadie the sole regular next year. The Mines also beat Montana State for second place in conference play, while Oregon Diggers posted six wins and five losses. A midsummer Akron tournament was announced, and other regional notes include women’s hockey rivalries, Mexican quail introductions near Lewiston, and wider coverage of coast basketball prospects and spring leagues.
