Train Disaster Kills Fifteen. Dozens Injured in Break Rail Wreck
A railroad wreck caused by a broken rail leaves fifteen dead and twenty eight seriously injured. The train derailed and was thrown from the track, with rescue teams rushing to the scene to aid the injured. Many victims remain at risk as recovery continues.
Train wreck near Sanderson leaves 15 dead
A broken rail on the Southern Pacific near Maxon station 25 miles west of Sanderson caused a high speed wreck at 3 am. Fifteen people were killed outright and 28 injured. The Galveston Harrisburg and San Antonio line dispatched surgeons from El Paso and Sanderson as wreck workers and officials assessed the scene.
