Orthopedic Drive Surpasses Goal for Crippled Children Fund
Butte Auxiliary for the Rehabilitation of Crippled Children reports a cash total near $11,000 raised last night with mail receipts continuing. Volunteers, a charity ball, and a tag day by 100 Butte girls helped push the drive beyond the $10,000 goal set by Horace J. Merkle as chair. The effort, costing little in operations, funded operations at Billings and nurse care in Butte, sending several children for surgery.
