The Cascade County grand jury condemns the Board of Commissioners and the county auditor over questioned methods in purchasing supplies and in other official business. The bold findings call for resignations and prompt scrutiny of county operations.
Great Falls June 27 The Cascade county grand jury urged Judge Jere B Leslie to seek the resignations of county commissioners Frank D Cooper W D Delphy and Lewis Boulswick and county auditor John Carr amid findings of improper billings at the poor farm inflated per diems and unnecessary expenses The report criticizes lack of bids improper audits and excessive sessions and notes party affiliations for the three commissioners and auditor with Cooper Republican Boulswick Delphy Carr Fusion Democrats.
P J Ryan a longtime Anaconda Copper Mining employee committed suicide in his Knutsford hotel room in Salt Lake City Thursday night. Found by chambermaid Friday morning the 28 caliber bullet killed him after he sent a note to Marcus Daly and W A Clark and a letter to relatives. Ryan had worked 13 years at Anaconda rising from clerk to statistical clerk and had recently overworked himself suffering headaches and memory loss. Funeral plans await his relatives.
Washington reports Kingsley in Custar County gains a post office with Annie Kingsley as postmaster. A pension is granted to Harrison Churchill Dewey, noted in the same dispatch.

Hundreds in Anaconda recall Mr Ryan as conscientious and faithful in work and friendship. Born in Enniscorthy Ireland about 33 years ago he leaves aged parents two brothers and two sisters. A brother Edwin survives.
Ed Burris of West Boulder, Montana, a former Northern Pacific conductor, was killed by a lightning bolt at his ranch while digging post holes for a fence. He was 48, survived by a widow and two children, with funeral at St. Andrew's and burial at Mountain View. The accident occurred Thursday afternoon about four o'clock. Burris had moved to Montana in 1888 from Smithville Ohio and worked for the NP and Great Northern before dedicating himself to ranching.
Doctors report the royal patient had a comfortable day and made substantial improvement. News is received with cheers and signs of rejoicing as officials release a latest bulletin on the monarch’s health.
