City committee meeting discussed warrants and finance
Mayor Maloney spoke after a Chamber of Commerce committee meeting with bankers and councilmen. He warned that without warrants being funded by a city plan, business leaders would be asked to cash the remainder. Currie pressed for wholesalers to keep raised platforms, arguing the city’s paper value would rise. Citizens in the south end objected to an ordinance.
