Wreck of the Twentieth Century Flyer Kills Nineteen

A Lake Shore wreck at Mentor Ohio last night killed nineteen and injured many more. Train schedule restored for Twentieth Century Limited

President Newmann of the New York Central and Lake Shore railroads announced that the 20 hour schedule for the Twentieth Century Limited will be restored immediately, replacing the 18 hour timetable briefly in effect. The plan affects service between New York and Chicago as the line resumes its longer travel time.

Wreck Scene Involving Boy With Lantern At Twist

Nickel Plate and James Barnes of Willoughby reached the wreck site twenty minutes after the collision. They encountered a boy carrying a lantern who said he shut a switch. The switch was found open but locked, and investigators doubt the boy opened it. H. S. Storria of Lake Shore promised an investigation tomorrow.
