Gresser Injured By Falling Timber At Nettie Mine
Charles Gresser, employed at the Nettie mine, was seriously injured yesterday morning when a timber fell while he and three co workers were putting up bents on the surface. He was taken to St James hospital where doctors dressed his wounds and the extent of his injuries, including a suspected skull fracture, remained undetermined last night.

Summer colonists arrive at Swan Lake this season
Swan Lake reports a growing summer colony with GC F Kelley and family expected from New York to stay most of the season. Mr and Mrs L J Evans open their summer home arriving Thursday for the hot months. Mrs L J Kelly and children remain at the cottage while Mr Kelly travels to San Francisco as a Democratic National Convention delegate. Dr Campbell and Mrs Campbell arrive later. Leonard Renick will guest for the summer. Mr and Mrs Sam Barker Jr and their son left for the lab, Barker staying until early July.
