In Homestake Jefferson county magistrate T. C. Glora faced arraignment for allegedly impersonating a public officer. Bond set at 100 dollars for a hearing next morning as deputy county attorney later announced the charge would be dismissed after an investigation found the proceedings a farce.

Beginning June 12 the Northern Pacific offers a Sunday trip package from Butte to Mammoth Hot Springs and back for 15 dollars. Includes board and lodging at Livingston while in transit and in the park. Tickets for train No 14 are sold each Friday and valid returning on No 13 the following Monday. In conjunction with the National Educational association meeting in Boston next month the Northern Pacific Railway sets a special rate of 72.50 for round trips from Montana common points. Special Dispatch reports John Giles received a 35 day county jail term from Justice Mann after pleading guilty to stealing a rifle from Frank Whittaker’s wagon last night.
Helena June 18 labor representatives condemn the agreement allowing a Typographical union organizer to enter printing plants. They argue the pledge does not guarantee shop unionization or adoption of the union label. The Montana textbook commission reviews publishers’ plans as sessions proceed. Copy books arithmetics and grammars lead for votes.
E Damours of Virginia City visited Butte to organize the Damours Mining company with Montana, Boston, and Springfield investors. Capitalized at 1,000,000, it would hold the Bryson, Damours, Promey, Kearsarge, Oro Cache and Lucas claims in the Summit district near Aldergulch. Plans include transferring the Damours claim to the new company and driving a tunnel through the Promey to prove ore value. An eastern investor group is said to back the venture.
Investors express willingness to fund development of the claims. Some have visited the site and report favorable prospects for turning the ground into a producer of wealth.
Will open Copper Cliff H B Tilden of Baltimore, who visited Butte last week, pumps water from the Copper Cliff shaft and workings in Missoula County to drain levels. Backed by London capitalists whose engineers recently inspected the property. Prospects said strong if properly developed after months of inactivity.
Jeremiah Hore J P Ormond of Butte Harry Bush of Jardine and E a Dawes of Livingston secure a three years bond on the Little Kid mine located on Bald mountain 17 miles from Norris Madison county. They plan a 100 ton concentrator with a 10 stamp mill 20 ton Bryan mill sawmill and employer quarters. Owned by Colonel Chisholm of Bozeman the vein is large and rich in gold bearing ore easy to treat with standard methods.
