A taxi stand confrontation near the Northern Pacific depot led to brass knuckles and a clash between C H Williams and Joel Thomas. Both were dismissed in police court after arguments over alleged taunting and a near swallow of a smoke. Williams said Thomas tried to drive him from the stand. Thomas struck back, and the officer intervened.

The wedding of Misa Lynne Gillies and Horace Siegel took place at St Johns Episcopal Church with Rev. Charles I Chapman officiating. Butte Officers Seek Prisoner Who Escaped Train
Sheriff's officers and police hunted in Butte for John Patterson a 19 year old prisoner who slipped from a Northern Pacific smoker car en route to Deer Lodge yesterday morning. He robbed bathers at Hunter's Springs and fled. Patterson pleaded guilty later that day and was sentenced to not less than one and a half years.
