Republicans Begin Immediate Campaign After Nomination
Campaign managers for Senator Warren G. Harding of Ohio said no delay will hamper efforts after his nomination by the Republican National Convention. Harry M. Daugherty urged prompt action to present Republican issues to voters. Officials plan to begin campaigns soon after the Democratic convention. Will H. Hays leads the reorganized national committee with seven women to be named to the executive committee. A female vice chair will also be chosen when announced. The convention minutes foresee changing Southern representation at future national meetings based on statewide Republican vote totals. Protests from Louisiana, Alabama, and Texas accompanied the change. The plan aims to strengthen party organization across states.
