Butte Cab Driver Resists Modern Cars in Narrow Street
A veteran hack driver in Butte clings to reins and shouted whoa as his taxi sped past a running child, narrowly avoiding harm. He jokes about quitting but remains at the wheel, rigged with emergency ropes to the brake. A 7 year old observer later proves keen on storytelling with precise details of local trouble. Potatoes flood Montana markets despite high living costs, with 6000 sacks repurposed as fertilizer and prices stubbornly high. Farmers and dealers clash as Idaho imports slow and new spuds fetch low but steady demand.
