General von Seecht vows ruthless action against monarchists and communists
General von Seecht warned that his army would fire on any monarchist or communist plot to overthrow the republic. He said he would shoot to the last bullet and that his loyalty to the republican government remains strong despite opposition. He cited Ludendorff supporters as conspirators and asserted army loyalty across seven divisions. In a separate note, a roof fire at 924 South Colorado lit by sparks from Mrs. Anna A. Clark’s home drew the Quartz street fire apparatus shortly after 3 o'clock yesterday.
