The Anaconda Copper Mining Company filed its separate answer in the United States suit against Bitter Root Development Company Margaret Daly executrix Marcus Daly. It admits some paragraphs but denies prior corporate status, asserts misjoinder of causes and parties, and asks for dismissal with costs.

A case involving Parrot against the Anaconda company was heard yesterday before Henry J. Burleigh. A special train starts Saturdays in June from Butte at 6:40 p.m. via B A P railway to Mountain View park with 10:30 p.m. return. Round trip one dollar. Vaudeville boating dancing and other entertainments nightly.

A Saturday night and Sunday roundup at the city jail yielded numerous cases. Defendants including Jack Dwan, John Harrington, Jack O Brien, W G Keeble and Andy Crawford were fined five dollars for intoxication. May Arnold and Anna DeScott were charged with thefts of ten and twenty dollars respectively. Anna DeScott also faces a separate charge at 36 East Galena. Seven peace disturbances were handled with two sent back to await the afternoon session while others received ten dollar purses due to entrance fee gaps. John Doe paid ten for license. Frank Smith and Frank Hall received fifty days for vagrancy. Mike Gross was fined five dollars for speeding.
The Woodmen of the World schedule an annual excursion to Mountain View park Anaconda on June 24. In Newport Ohio James Hamilton followed his wife with a witness to her home two miles north of town. At 2 a m he saw Robert Arey at a rear door and a confrontation occurred. Hamilton was shot and killed and Arey fatally shot himself.
The army staff under Lieutenant General Miles has new assignments after the death of Lieutenant Francis J. Michler and the transfer of Lieutenant Colonel H. K. Bailey. Lieutenant Colonel Samuel Reber becomes military secretary, and Lieutenant Colonel M Maus becomes aide-de-camp. Reber is Miles' son-in-law.
