Strike Prolonged By Butte Teamsters Amid Citywide Dispatch
In Butte a large scale strike began as the teamsters voted unanimously to quit work at midnight Sunday, excluding chauffeurs who operate their own fleets. The action affects coal firms and transfer companies, while auto deliveries by nonunion drivers remain uninterrupted. Streetcar workers showed no rapid movement, and the weather stressed uptown commerce, with increased demand for jitneys and a rush of deliveries before the strike takes full effect.
