Remains of Fred C. M. Lucchesi from St. Ann's hospital were sent East to Baltimore for burial. Montana volunteers organized a simple military escort from the undertaker to the depot under Lieutenant Gerald Sullivan. G. A. R. pallbearers and laundry workers attended, with a cross of roses on the coffin and a card from the employees.

Kennedy Trippet Hurt After Horse Incident Near May Street
Kennedy Trip, son of W H Trippet of this city, a surveyor with H B Davis’s party for government work in Teton county, was thrown from a horse on May Street. The horse stepped on his head, knocking him unconscious. Davis prepared to move him for surgical aid as he regained awareness. Wounded, Trippet was dressed and remained in his tent but has since returned to work.
