Edward Bownes died yesterday afternoon at St Anns hospital from injuries at the blast furnaces of the smelter. He was crushed between a stock bite and a train of all-ting tare. Funeral set for Thursday at St Peters church. He leaves a widow and children and is survived by brothers-in-law James Corcoran and Michael Corcoran. he was a member of the Catholic Foresters and the fat and emelder men’s union.
