Opinion of Neill Given to Company on Butte Copper Veins
The report to Bos ton Copper and Silver Mining Co. by Engineer Maniel Wy Nell presents the North Butte veins as rich and promising. It details 2,509 feet of tunnels and 500 feet of shafts, a 473 foot depth, and a 2,200 foot vein extent with a 290 foot level drill indicating a strong fissure and potential high copper concentration. suggests building a mill and plant near water and electric power to exploit a profitable ore body, while noting cave tendencies and need for further boundary confirmation.
