The program titled Happy Children’s Day includes songs recitations solos and a choir performance by the school with a long list of named participants.

William Shannon of Butte files a district court suit against Western Union Telegraph for $3,000. He alleges a message from Sister Rose Vincent, dated April 26 1913, about his son Lawrence Shannon was not delivered until April 28 1913, delaying knowledge of the boy’s illness and funeral. Shannon claims timely delivery would have allowed him to attend the funeral in Helena.
The pavilion at Columbia gardens hosted a lively high school commencement season event. Young people and friends attended with many mothers and fathers as chaperones. Galleries filled with an attentive audience. the prom was praised as the best yet. Cars and afterparties marked the evening, programs featured popular numbers and music met high expectations.
A lively Saint Cecelia style recital featured pupils from Mignon Cella Club with a program including two pianos pieces Anchanting and Spinning Song and numbers by Margarethe Jahreiss Wilbur Jahreiss and several others The evening offered varied pieces from Mendelssohn to Reichardt with titles such as The Sailor and the Maid The Trapeze Performer and A Little Story Edna Rosar reflected the club’s youthful musical talent
The Butte Motor Cycle club plans a major season run from Butte to Deer Lodge and back on Sunday, with about 75 members expected. A noon banquet at Deer Lodge will be attended by racers and their ladies, and preparations are complete for the spread and related events. The county attorney filed an information against Andrew Boland for vagrancy and incorrigibility, with Boland described as a troublesome youth whose case will be heard by Judge Donlan today.
