Hay Crop Prospects Improve Across Deer Lodge County
Anaconda reports a favorable outlook for a large hay crop as warm rains boost vegetation in Deer Lodge valleys and ranges. Stockmen predict abundant feed through autumn with beef prospects rising, though water scarcity in mountain streams remains a concern. If snowmelt is gradual, irrigation may be unnecessary and July water supply could suffice.
