Air blasts in the Atlantic mine intensify causing three weeks of halted work, shaft repairs, and re timbering. Wells run dry and ground cracks appear five to six miles from the mine as quarries experience violent shocks not truly explosions.

Northern Pacific Vacation Train Rates Listed
Arrangements for the annual teachers vacation rates from Butte and Anaconda have been completed. The Short Line will run its inaugural popular excursion to Utah on June 6 with two trains. Mining season opens three boat enterprises in Montana
About twenty eastern investors plan visits to Butte around the eighth to inspect gold dredging ventures. The Trustees Gold company operates the French Gulch dredge on asin creek near Basin, reporting $100 from the first cleanout. Supreme Gold Dredge No 1 and a Hughes Creek project in Missoula County are under construction. William Beam, Kansas City manager, leads the group and will bring stockholders to review Nat Simons’s Dry Cottonwood property.

Operations on the Eagle Mine Near Walkerville
The Eagle Mining company led by A WV Corry Thomas Bryant and Pat Mullins works the Eagle mine just north of Walkerville. A shaft reached 125 feet Saturday night after starting a month and a half ago. The two compartment shaft 4 by 4 feet is well timbered and sinking on the vein as ore is extracted. Machinery is in good order and water has not hindered progress.
