Railroad Commission Hears Ante Gut Case On Rates
Emil Torgerson of Intermountain Transportation asked the railroad commission to lower fares between Anaconda and Philipsburg and along the route. He proposed 3.00 to 1.60 for bus fare and 10 to five cents per mile on short hauls. He said the cut would boost traffic and aid summer residents. Mazza and Johnoe opposed, arguing traffic is too light to justify a rate reduction.
