The Montana Power Company proposes substantial rate cuts for lighting heating and small power across Montana including hotels rooming houses churches schools and businesses. New schedules D and CL outline tiered kWh charges including 25 first kWh at 6 cents then 25 more at 5 cents and further blocks at 4 and 2 cents with minimum bills and terms noted.
James Melvin Griffin of Pueblo Colorado reports after taking Tanlac he regained twenty five pounds, returned to work, and found relief from long standing stomach trouble and indigestion. He praises Tanlac as nature's own remedy and notes wide availability with over thirty seven million bottles sold.

Postmaster Phil Daniels announced plans for Postmaster General Harry New and staff to stop in Anaconda on their way to Helena for the district postal employes convention held June 18. Montana Idaho and Wyoming postmasters and clerks will attend. The meeting aims to align the postal department with local needs.
In Portland, Joe Gorman and Bud Ridley fought to a ten round draw with Ridley scoring a knockdown in the third. Gorman weighed 129 pounds and Ridley 128. The club event set for Memorial Day was postponed due to weather and will be played Sunday, June 3. Players may pick up their flags from the club professional, with prizes of six, four and two balls awarded to the top three finishers.
