Ore shipments near Lake Pend d Oreille total about 225 tons since April. The Comstock region eyes a 100 ton daily Gould & Curry mill with seven floors and 25 horsepower. Cripple Creek reports new veins and high grade ore in Vindicator levels nine to eleven. Nome prepares for winter with 114 vessels and 13 437 passengers reported. A 10 million dollar Cripple Creek Mining & Development Co. is formed to operate Cripple Creek properties.

Four McDougals to Be Installed at Lower Works
The Anaconda reduction works press forward with major upgrades. New Trent grinding mills and ten Huntington mills will be installed at the lower works alongside enlarged matte furnaces. The overhaul aims at equal or superior efficiency to the new smelter, with seven large furnaces replacing fourteen small ones and four McDougal furnaces added to the roasting department.

The Montana Summit Mining company advances development four and a half miles north of the Tiger Poorman. They are about 180 feet deep shipping ore while sinking. One car has been sent to Tacoma smelter. High grade ore contains silver lead and gold with tunnel potential.
