AELENA July 2 Thirty-five hundred farmers and business men who signed petitions backing a substitute for the workmen's compensation law filed demands with Secretary of State T Stewart to withdraw their names. They allege they were misrepresented by agents of W F Dunn of Butte who promoted the measure. An Dunn agent witnessed the submission of the demands.

Woman to Rescue Pays Death Toll in Drowning Tragedy
Merle Hatfield 14 and Mrs. Edward Crocker 39 drowned at a gravel pit near Dilmont park during a picnic and swim. Claude Webster 16 tried to save Hatfield but died. Crocker entered water to assist and also perished. Townspeople formed a rescue party as bodies were recovered. Crocker had arrived from Oklahoma with her husband a week earlier.
