Raven Mine Shaft Progress and Copper Market Update
The Raven Mine reports progress with the shaft to 1100 feet and new vein crossings. A 2000 foot depth is planned with a cross cut from the 1100 foot station. Copper trade circles show better sentiment with shipments from New York and Baltimore totaling 1576 tons. Subscriptions to Nevada Consolidated Copper and Utah Copper bonds exceed issues, hinting at consolidation of major copper firms. Market commentary notes dull trading but hopes for a late-week rise as Amalgamated and other names move.
