The Mason bill seeks 14000 dollars to send a minister and a consul to the Irish republic plus a literary and musical program.
A South Side meeting tonight will discuss the paving of Harrison Avenue and the construction of a new high school. Residents are urged to attend as these items affect the entire community in the southern section of Butte. The possible creation of an improvement district for fire protection may also be considered.

A man identified as Daniel Kaien and a 12 year old boy were hurt when a tree fell during a performance. Kaien was taken to Murray Hospital with injuries while the boy, skating at a rink, remains a patient there.
