Vanity and mystery in a mist filled poem
The excerpt from the Atlanta Constitution presents a lyrical meditation on beauty and desire. It invokes vivid imagery of water, arching feet, violets, and rose motifs, weaving a portrait of feminine allure and symbolic adornments. It ends with a question of identity and a wary tone about fortune and fate.
