Activity Looms for Oil Fields in Sunburst Montana
Louis B. O'Neil, head of the International Refining Co, predicts a busy summer in the Sunburst Kevin oilfield in Montana. He cites higher oil prices and a planned development push by existing firms and new companies, aiming to drill over 200 wells as field activity expands. He notes current wells range 1,400 to 2,600 feet and a deep test is under way to boost production, with the Bunhurst plant capable of 6,600 barrels daily and additional properties in Cat Creek and elsewhere.
