Rotary Birthday Observed by Club
The Rotary club marked the international organization’s birthday at a meeting led by J. W. Bender. Dr. T. C. Witherspoon, a charter member of the Butte club since 1914, reviewed the group’s history and its global spread. He recalled joining Rotary and the 1915 convention, urged high ethical standards, and spoke on the power of Rotary for peace and goodwill. W. D. Kendrick joined Mr. Barnard of Kiwanis to discuss community projects and a mobile trades exposition.
