Montana plans four highway projects in Butte section
Four highway projects in district No. 9 covering Silver Bow Beaverhead Deer Lodge and Madison counties will start this year under the state highway commission. Federal aid will cover 56 percent of costs with the remainder from counties and the state highway fund. Two Silver Bow projects were approved last year and two more, in Deer Lodge and Beaverhead, were approved at a Helena meeting. The plan includes grading gravel and oiling the Butte Anaconda highway segment and building a new concrete bridge over the Deer Lodge river to straighten the road.
