Deer Lodge County disbursements in January totaled 68164. The January receipts were 10658.83, mainly from estates. Beginning balance 173177.33. February 1 balance 118504.62. Expenditures and balances by fund listed. county anticipates tax installments in spring and improved finances ahead.
Phil McGraw and Daniel Woodard were arrested early yesterday morning and booked at the city police station. They were held for investigation and given liberty after a hearing before Judge Murphy. the prisoner was wanted on a charge of failure to support his family.

Enoch and John Hukovich of Opportunity were jailed after facing a third degree assault charge from an alleged fight in the early hours yesterday. Leo Liberti named the Hukovichs, sons of his former wife, as attackers when he went to their home about 8 pm Tuesday night to search for stray horses. Liberti showed a cut on his side at Pringle's court yesterday. both defendants pleaded not guilty and a hearing was set for Friday at 2 pm.

Gerald's court Monday set a $500 bond to keep the peace. he refused the request of George Miller of 911 Hast Park. Fanerien of neighboring area helped mediate between two women. After a hearing Judge Fitzgerald ordered both women released if they furnished $600 bonds to keep the peace for six months.
