Officials fear widespread wage demands could stall construction for a time. No formal requests yet. A revision or repeal of the city plumbing ordinance is seen as likely due to scrutiny of master plumbers and journeymen relations. A carpenters minority may seek more pay, but contractors doubt wider carpenters’ discontent.
