Police captain says coastal crime wave stories are mostly unfounded as San Francisco criminals drift toward Butte but officers report crime remains low. He warns winter may bring more illicit activity overall, though crooks are a minority.

Sheriff John K O Rourke reported certificates of sale for two mining properties. The Great Butte Copper Company stake was sold to Butte & Anaconda Copper Mining Company for 75315.19 dollars, and the Butte Ballakla Ya property went to HL McGregor and H W McDevitt for 225000 dollars. Both sales followed court orders.
W. McC. White of the public affairs committee and Prof. C. H. Clapp of the educational committee will report, with a discussion of questionnaires by P. J. Wills. Butte Rotary club will decide club matters at the meeting and members are urged not to bring visitors.
