Associated Charities to Adopt Santa Rose
The Associated Charities will play Santa Claus this year and distribute candy to needy children of Butte the day before Christmas. Children will visit the charity office at 2.00 to 4.00 p m on Wednesday December 24. After a ten day aid period with the women’s relief committee at the clothing station, the group will reopen in the courthouse basement to assist needy families for the rest of winter. Donations of clothing welcomed.

Eagle chases post office plane over Clearfield sky
An American eagle was seen pursuing a mail plane near Clearfield Pennsylvania. After several minutes the bird abandoned the chase and flew away.

Snow removal duty falls on property owners in city
Magistrate H. J. Grimes ruled that owners must keep streets and alleys clear of ice and snow from their buildings. Arthur Berry, Florence hotel manager, fined $5 for icicles in the alley. Louis Rosenstein, Acoma hotel proprietor, had charges dismissed after evidence of removal. W. H. McNulty fined $5 for failing to clear walks on 1116 South Arizona Street.
