Arrest at Sullivan Flynn Fight Sparks Police Action

In Schenectady Nevada on December 19 police moved to halt a two round bout between Jack Sullivan and Forky Wynn. Sam Langford Caray and Flynn were arrested before the bout, with warrants reportedly issued by Rev. George R. Lunn editor of a socialist newspaper. Police were seeking Sullivan.

Young Jake Schaefer Beats Ora Morningstar

In Rochester Ora Morningstar was defeated twice by Jake Schaefer the billiards wizard. Morningstar posted 400 to Schaefer 200 in the morning and 282 to 200 in the afternoon, then 219 to 200 in the evening, continuing Schaefer’s dominance in the session.

Barry and Ross Will Meet in Memphis Ring

New Orleans reports James Barry and Tony Ross will clash in Memphis next Monday night after their bout in New Orleans was canceled by authorities.
