A high school boys game ends 11 to 4 as Butte is edged by Englewood High with a strong finish. A separate note reports a woman receiving a life sentence related to a dynamiting incident at Huey’s home, with mercy requested for Wam Thy.
Mrs Martin, convicted of dynamiting the residence of Judge Frank Ogden, was sentenced by Judge Wells to the penitentiary for the remainder of her life. The courtroom was packed as she voiced threats of suicide, confessing despair and desire to die while claiming no life to live for. Police investigate the discovery of white powder and suspected poison on her person.
Frederick Le Beau was sentenced to death for the murder of the Youkums near Eureka. Judge Erickson fixed the date for execution. Joe Hobbins received a life sentence by the jury for first degree murder, with the court to determine his fate after the verdict.

New York December 19 Henry B Suydam a mining stock broker in the curb market at 300 Broad Street was shot and severely wounded by inventor Jet Lumsden who said Suydam refused to pay him for an invention Lumsden struggled with clerks and was restrained by bystanders before police took him away as a crowd gathered and curb trading stalled
