Butte hosts its only midnight banquet for street car motor men and conductors at the Cafeteria tonight. Attendees arrive after finishing runs with cars returning to the barn around midnight. The gathering serves as a postwar reunion and thanksgiving for 30 of 32 employees who served, with two, James Harkins and Dan Salish, killed in action.

St Johns Dramatic club plans a big skating carnival at the Holland rink on Saturday December 27. Prizes will honor Butte expert skaters in several events. Monday night features special music and an address by Rev Father Hannan. Public invited.
Telegram from Rev M O D Barry rector of Immaculate Conception church says Father Barry will arrive home on the Olympian tonight. He left Butte last July for Ireland to tend his ailing mother who died shortly after his arrival. Parishioners will give him a warm welcome.
Taxpayers sent payments by mail or in person to the Internal Revenue Office in the federal building for the fourth installment. Mail remittances arriving late due to disrupted service were accepted if mailed a few days before the deadline. Delinquent in-city payers faced a 5 percent penalty with no excuses.
