Mrs Altha Dobyns 63 of Butte died after clothing caught fire from an electric stove in a pantry of her fourth floor Owsley block suite. Her son Luther R Dobyns aided but flames consumed all garments, causing fatal burns and shock. inquest to be held with funeral plans pending.

Turkey to inaugurate new parliament as constitutional monarchy

Constantinople reports Turkey will celebrate tomorrow the induction of a full fledged parliament. The assembly, created by a constitution submitted by Sultan Abdul Hamid in July, marks the empire's first such body in over nine years. A general holiday was proclaimed to honor the occasion.

Police Chief Hurt in Ambush Death of Suspect in Toledo

In Toledo Ohio an unidentified man was killed and Marshal C F Woods of Greenwich Huron county was seriously wounded in a railroad yard ambush by five men. Woods confronted a stranger, who claimed to be a traveler, and as they moved toward the yards four assailants leaped from behind a car, shooting Woods as the other man fled. The dead man was about 66 and the search continues for the assailants.
