Boston Wool Market Sees Quiet Trading With Lower Prices
The Associated Press notes a quiet wool market with an overall price decline around 5 percent from a week ago due to weak foreign markets. Western buying is private at 45 to 46 cents for Idaho medium wools, and Texas fall clip markets are largely marketed. Mohair remains quiet but steady as the Commercial Bulletin lists varied quotations across regions and grades for washed and unwashed wools and fleeces. Declines in living costs are influencing labor wage disputes in the Netherlands.
